Manic Panic

I just tried Manic Panic blue hair dye that I bought from a Sally Beauty supply shop. Still no luck. It kept washing off after every shampoo. The water that drips from my hair is always blue. I think if I rinsed my hair and waited til the water ran clear I would probably be in the shower for a week and end up with all the blue gone from my hair. The floor of the shower is now blue by the way. Hope the color comes out when I wash the shower floor. Manic Panic lasted a week as well before turning green.

the running blue water is a problem. when using manic panic (I combine the ultra violet with the after midnight blue and swirl it around, not totally mixing the two colors) one thing I found that does help with the staying is to blow dry your hair with a high heat blow dryer after putting the dye in and then let it sit. also, when washing your hair, always use cold water. I found that hot water washes it out faster, but that could just be my hair. most of my blue has stayed more as a tint with a touch of the dreaded green. I haven't redyed my hair in 2 weeks and it does look green with blue tinting. my hair is also short, which does help keep it from staining my clothes if I happen to have a bucket of water dumped on my head :D or rain. just a suggestion. it might help your hair and it might not. also, from all the bleaching, my hair got that brittle feeling. I tried this product called sunsilk (it's in a pink bottle) my sister bought. made my hair feel less brittle, though probably not the best for color staying. good luck. I have also heard (though I haven 't tried it yet) to use blue food coloring. just watching out, it stains like crazy and probably produces a very dull color

1. try not to shampoo your hair too often. if you must, use cold water.
2. to avoid it turning green, i suggest adding a bit of purple hair dye to cancel out the yellow that'll make it green.
3. when dying your hair, make your hair as dry and porous as possible (shampoo, don't condition and then blowdry before applying it). it'll soak the dye up better.

Did you use Manic Panic's Colourizing shampoo? it ads a bit of extra dye to your hair each time you wash to keep it bluer, longer. No crazy-colour dyes will last forever, but bleaching first makes a huge difference.

it comes out after every wash because its not permanent. that is why i hate using it cause i can't go for two weeks without washing my hair, so it comes out in a week for me. :/ no fun! if you can go without washing your hair that is only way you will be able to keep the color in.

Use toothpaste to get it off the shower floor <.< did it to my bathtub to couldn't get it white again until I used toothpaste. Toothpaste is abrasive enough to get it out with out damaging the tub.
